CNA training is popular these days; it’s a common two month health program which allows students to operate as certified nurse aids. Students learn hands on techniques such as cleaning, caring, and changing bedding for patients who may be incapable of doing it themselves. Most CNA’s (Certified Nursing Assistant) work under the supervision of an RN (registered nurse), or an appropriate LPN (licensed practicional nurse); work full time, or part time shifts at an average pay of 10-12.00 an hour. It is a career with considerable growth as many programs require CNA training prior to compete in the field of LPN, or RN work.
Again, most training can be done at local community colleges, work “programs”, or through 2 week courses in places such as the Red Cross, the maximum taking two months the best giving local facility experience. However, due to the popularity of the program many programs can be backed up for months, so it’s best to apply as soon as possible!
